The Kohi Goth area of Quaidabad in Karachi is facing a serious problem — smoke pollution. This issue has made daily life difficult for residents, as the air quality continues to decline. People are struggling to breathe properly, and a growing number of individuals are suffering from health issues such as persistent coughing, eye irritation, headaches and respiratory illnesses. Children and the elderly are particularly vulnerable, and the situation is only getting worse with time.
One of the main reasons for this pollution is the lack of trees and green spaces to clean the air. In addition, many old vehicles release large amounts of smoke along with factories polluting the air day in and day out. The government should take immediate and effective action to enforce controlled emissions and raise awareness regarding green practices, imploring the public to plant more trees and combat smoke pollution.
