FBR’s inefficiency

FBR’s inefficiency

KARACHI:

The inefficiency prevailing in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) offices has made the lives of people miserable. Previously, the FBR staff used to update applicants’ data within an hour, allowing them to update their passwords promptly. However, it has now become a common practice that even after a week, the data remains unprocessed.

This unnecessary delay not only causes great inconvenience to the applicants but also raises serious concerns about the intentions behind such inefficiency. It appears that ulterior motives may be at play, depriving citizens of their rightful services and encouraging a culture of frustration and corruption.

The higher authorities should take immediate notice of this situation, ensure transparency and restore the efficiency that once characterised the FBR’s services. Swift action will not only ease public difficulties but also restore trust in the institution.
