
It has been nearly a week since the internet service on my PTCL phone number (0492728849) has gone stone dead. I spoke three times to the representatives at helpline 1218 and lodged my complaint. The ticket numbers 41 and 4227841 were issued and compliance was assured within 24 hours at top priority.
I have visited the local PTCL office daily during the outgoing week and told the officials about the complaint. Orders were issued to the linemen, but all in vain. The linemen don’t attend calls. They once or twice came around, but that too, around 3pm. Then they leave making promises for tomorrow as they say, at 4pm their duty hours end. One lineman told me that on Friday, the duty hours end at 1pm.
At the local helpline 0492763550, I daily call a number of times. Mostly, the call is not attended. Twice it was attended; redressal of my complaint was promised. Nothing happened. My complaint remains unheard and unredressed.

It is disheartening to imagine and accept how things work in our country in the times of technological revolution in telecommunications.
