The residents of Orangi Town face numerous struggles daily owing to the area’s poor infrastructure. Despite being one of the city’s largest residential areas, it suffers from broken roads and inadequate drainage systems.
During the monsoon season, residents face severe disruptions due to clogged drains and poorly maintained roads, which causes waterlogging in many areas and makes traveling an almost impossible feat. The lack of timely repairs and maintenance of these essential facilities remains an ongoing concern.
It is high time that the local authorities (TMC) take immediate action to improve the infrastructure in Orangi Town. Ensuring proper drainage systems and repairing damaged roads is bound to go a long way in improving quality of life for the residents of this community.
