KARACHI:

Pakistan’s women’s cricket team has made remarkable progress, securing a spot in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 after a string of impressive qualifier wins. This achievement reflects their dedication, hard work, and commitment to competing on the biggest stage. However, a crucial question remains: will the team travel to India to compete? PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has reiterated that Pakistan will not travel to India for the Women’s ODI World Cup due to political and diplomatic concerns, raising the likelihood of a neutral venue solution.

India’s recent participation in the Champions Trophy at a neutral venue suggests their growing acceptance in international tournaments. Will Pakistan be able to adapt to a neutral venue arrangement, or will it face the challenge of competing without the support of home crowds? With the ICC’s final decision still pending, the uncertainty surrounding this matter persists.

While the path to the World Cup may be fraught with challenges, the resilience and spirit of Pakistan’s women cricketers remain unwavering. Regardless of the venue, the team will undoubtedly continue to fight with all their might, representing the pride of Pakistan on the global stage.
