KARACHI:
The Larkana Circuit Bench of Sindh High Court has directed the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to enforce its March 9, 2022 order regarding the resumption of commercial flights to Mohenjo Daro Airport. The decision is being appreciated not just by people from different parts of Pakistan but also from around the world — desirous of visiting Mohenjo Daro, the birthplace of Indus Valley Civilisation, as well as the Bhutto family mausoleum at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and many other tourist attractions in upper parts of Sindh. The CAA must not ignore the high court decision and take steps to make the Mohenjo Daro airport operational as early as possible so that this world heritage site comes in easy access to tourists from within the country as well as from abroad.
