Lack of recreational spaces

Lack of recreational spaces

Turbat is in urgent need of recreational spaces, and it is turning into an increasingly pressing concern. The city lacks essential facilities like parks, playgrounds, and community centres; all of these spaces are vital for the mental and physical well-being of citizens, particularly children and elderlies.
Due to the lack of walkable spaces and access to exercise facilities, residents are severely limited in their options for outdoor activities which eventually leads to physical health problems. The absence of areas for social gatherings and community interactions can also contribute to loneliness, rising stress and anxiety among residents. Recreational spaces are essential for providing a peaceful environment where individuals can unwind and connect with nature. Being deprived of these spaces can have a negative impact on our community, especially for children who need a safe and healthy environment to grow in.
Authorities must prioritise the development of recreational spaces in Turbat. This can be achieved by allocating land for parks, playgrounds and community centres, investing in the development and maintenance of relevant infrastructure, and encouraging community engagement to ensure the effective use of these spaces.
