Two bloody conflicts continue to haunt the world conscience, with varied response by West to sufferings and miseries being inflicted on innocent unarmed men, women and children. One is a war between two countries, Ukraine and Russia, both having regular armies, navy, air-force and missiles etc. The other is between a people living under occupation, with no regular armed forces, and a nuclear-powered country, Israel, having a powerful army, air force and navy. There is widespread support and condemnation of the killings in Ukraine, while the killing of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians is being justified for the security of Israel. The only difference is that in Ukraine, white Europeans are being killed, while in Palestine it is blood of Muslims which is being spilled. The hypocrisy and contradictions are shocking.
