This refers to the need for sustainable and eco-friendly practices in our country. As a responsible citizen, I believe it is our duty to raise awareness and take action to protect our country.
As I walk down Karachi’s streets, I am glad for the beauty and strength of our city. There is, however, disappointment. Our environment is troubled, and it cannot be ignored. The clean beaches have become full of garbage, the air is polluted, and there is trash lying on the road sides.
We cannot be blind to it anymore. Our neglect has given us the prices to pay around us running from the havoc played on the marine life to the rising count of people with respiratory issues. It’s not a question of complaining and condemning people, we need real change. Karachi needs a proper system of waste disposal, more greens and heightened awareness among citizens about sustainability.
I urge our city leaders to take action to improve recycling efforts, reduce the use of plastic and educate people about what they can do. But it’s not just their job; we all have to take care of our city so that it does not become dirty.
Karachi is our home, and we have to protect it. If we all come together, we can actually make a difference and create a greener, healthier world for our future generations.
