Electricity theft is a serious issue in Balochistan that significantly impacts both the economy and the daily lives of honest citizens. The actions of some people engaging in this illegal activity cause the entire community to suffer its consequences.
Illegally accessing electricity is not only unethical in its own right but is also detrimental to society on an economic scale. It results in financial losses for the government, leading to frequent power outages and subsequent increments in electricity bills for law-abiding citizens. Moreover, it amplifies the strain on the electricity supply system which makes it increasingly challenging to ensure a stable and reliable power supply for consumers.
The responsibility of addressing and preventing electricity theft rests with both the authorities and the general public. Power distribution companies must monitor and act against illegal connections, while citizens should treat electricity theft as a serious crime and report it.
