KARACHI:
As a resident of Jahoo, I’m concerned about the state of our local schooling system. Unfortunately, our area has only one school, Government Middle School Chemag Jahoo, which was closed in 2020 due to a lack of teachers. Although the school has reopened, it’s struggling to attract students after remaining closed for five years. The school building is in disrepair, with broken windows, floors and walls. Students are forced to sit outside even in the cold winter weather. Teachers also lack a proper place to teach and there could be no question of something called a staff room.
I urge the Government of Balochistan and the Department of Education to take immediate action to address these issues and provide a better learning environment for our children.
