Healthcare needs

KARACHI:

Balochistan is facing numerous challenges in terms of healthcare facilities. The province only has 1.3 hospitals per million people, compared to the national average of 1.9. This shortage results in 40% of patients having to travel to other provinces for treatment, with many unable to afford it. The province only has 6.4 doctors per 100,000 people, significantly lower than the national average of 8.6. According to recent reports, the lack of hospitals in Balochistan is increasing day by day. The provincial government must focus on provision of healthcare services, by building new hospitals equipped with latest facilities and qualified doctors.
