Baloch in Sindh

Baloch in Sindh

The migration of Baloch people to Sindh dates back to the 14th century when harsh winters in Balochistan drove them southward. A second wave followed in 1669 due to severe droughts. Today, the Baloch are spread across Pakistan, with 40% residing in Sindh. Despite these migrations, the Baloch have preserved their language and culture, resisting assimilation into Sindhi or Urdu-speaking communities.
This cultural resilience is a testament to their deep-rooted identity. For Baloch people, culture is synonymous with faith, and their unity remains unshaken by geographical divides. Their nationalism and hospitality serve as lessons for others to cherish their heritage. Culture, as a symbol of identity, must be preserved and celebrated worldwide.
