Education infrastructure

Education infrastructure

Among the most pressing issues facing Balochistan's education system is the lack of basic infrastructure. The province has a high number of out-of-school children, particularly girls. The data shows that the rural-urban divide in educational access is widening, with approximately 18.8 million out-of-school children living in rural areas. This crisis has escalated unchecked, leaving more than 16,000 teaching positions vacant, and the government has yet to offer a solution.
Regarded as the backbone of society, education is the fundamental right of every human being. Many schools and colleges are virtually non-functional because of lack of skilled teachers, and this has added to the dropout rate. The Government of Balochistan and concerned authorities should take necessary steps to resolve the issues related the education system in the province.
