Smogged Lahore

Once alive and thriving, today Lahore is finding it difficult to breathe. A thick layer of smog engulfs the city every winter. The culprits are obvious: vehicle emissions, industrial pollutants, burning crop residue, etc. This necessitates an urgent and effective action. Pollution can be decreased by switching to electric cars, enhancing public transportation, and enforcing stringent industry rules. Air pollution can be reduced by growing trees. Carpooling, energy conservation and embracing more environment-friendly practices are all ways that Lahoris can contribute through. Lahore is worthy of a breath of fresh air. The time for action is now.
