Turbat’s only library

Letter December 27, 2024
Turbat’s only library

Turbat is facing a severe shortage of libraries. Currently, there is only one public library in this major town of Balochistan, but that too has just about 100 books. No wonder the reading culture in Turbat is literally non-existent.
Students in Turbat are eager to access libraries and read new books, but the lack of facilities and resources is a significant obstacle. The absence of libraries not only hinders academic progress but also limits opportunities for personal growth and development.
We, the students of Turbat, appeal to the Government of Balochistan to take immediate and serious steps towards establishing new libraries and providing adequate books and resources. This would not only enhance our educational experience but also foster a culture of reading and learning in our community.
The government should prioritise allocating necessary funds to establish well-equipped libraries in Turbat. This investment will have a lasting impact on our education, personal growth and the overall development of our city.
