Drug addiction is a debilitating menace that threatens the very fabric of our society. The destructive nature of drugs damages the human brain, leading individuals to disconnect from reality, abandon their responsibilities, and escape from life’s challenges. This often results in involvement with criminal gangs, posing a constant threat to public safety and placing a burden on society. The root cause of drug addiction is often depression, which can be overwhelming and difficult to control.
To combat drug addiction, we must take a multifaceted approach. This includes: holding accountable the companies that manufacture and distribute drugs; discouraging individuals from purchasing and using drugs; educating young people about the dangers of drug addiction; and promoting awareness among the general public.
Parents and teachers play a vital role in guiding young people and protecting them from the harmful effects of drugs. I urge the authorities to take concrete steps to prevent drug addiction.
