Cancer treatment in Balochistan

Cancer treatment in Balochistan

The rise in cancer cases in Balochistan is alarming. Despite being the largest province of Pakistan, it lacks adequate medical facilities to combat this deadly disease. Cancer is increasingly claiming lives, and the scarcity of treatment options forces patients to succumb to their condition.
The situation in Turbat city is particularly dire. Several hospitals exist, but unfortunately, they lack the necessary resources to provide effective cancer treatment. Poor people cannot afford to travel to other cities for medical care, and as a result, they are forced to forego treatment, leading to unnecessary loss of life.
The government of Balochistan must take immediate action to address this crisis. Establishing specialised cancer treatment centres in Turbat hospitals is crucial. Additionally, ensuring adequate funding for cancer research and medical infrastructure, training healthcare professionals, and offering financial assistance to poor patients are essential steps.
The government must prioritise this critical issue and develop a comprehensive plan to tackle cancer treatment in Balochistan. We cannot afford to lose precious lives due to the lack of medical facilities. Urgent intervention is necessary to save lives and alleviate the suffering of cancer patients.
The people of Balochistan deserve access to quality healthcare, and it is the government’s responsibility to ensure this basic right. I hope that prompt action will be taken to address this pressing concern and provide hope to those battling cancer.
