The deteriorating condition of Jauhar Chowrangi Road adjacent to Samama Shopping Complex deserves urgent attention from the authorities in Karachi. This road was once in a good condition and facilitated smooth traffic flow, but after recent public works, it has become almost unusable, causing daily challenges to the residents and commuters who have to pass through it.
The primary cause of the problem appears to be the installation of new water lines, after which water has been continuously pooling on the road. It seems that the drainage system has either been blocked or was not properly reconnected, causing large stagnant pools that are breaking down the road surface. These pools hide potholes beneath the water, creating hazards for motorcyclists and pedestrians in particular. Additionally, traffic has become congested and chaotic due to this.
The authorities must come up with a proper drainage solution to prevent further water accumulation. Repairing the damaged portions of the road and ensuring the drainage system is functional will restore the road to a safe and reliable state. I hope this issue will be addressed promptly, ensuring safety and convenience for everyone.
