Education crisis

Education crisis

The state of education in Balochistan is a troubling crisis that deserves immediate attention. In this vast, resource-rich province, thousands of children remain out of school, deprived of the basic right to learn and build a better future. Despite promises and plans, real progress on education reform has been slow and inadequate.
From lack of infrastructure to shortage of qualified teachers, the challenges in Balochistan’s education sector are overwhelming. Many schools lack basic facilities — no chairs, no books, sometimes even no buildings. In rural areas, girls face additional obstacles as cultural norms and inadequate safety measures further limit their opportunities to attend school. This neglect comes at a heavy cost. Without education, we risk losing another generation to poverty. It is time the government and policymakers stop treating Balochistan’s education crisis as an afterthought. We need immediate investments in ensuring equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their gender or location.
Balochistan’s youth deserve the same chances to succeed as those in other parts of Pakistan. It is past time for decisive action to give them a fair shot at a brighter future.
