Fear of failure

KARACHI:

Failure and suicide are two deeply interconnected issues that require sensitive and full attention. While failure is a natural part of life, excessive pressure to succeed can lead to feelings of hopelessness, despair and suicidal thoughts. The stigma surrounding failure and mental health can prevent individuals from seeking help, making it essential to create a supportive environment where people feel comfortable discussing their struggles. It's crucial to recognise that failure is not a reflection of one's worth, and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. By promoting healthy coping mechanisms, providing accessible resources and fostering a culture of empathy and understanding, we can help prevent the tragic consequences of untreated mental health struggles.

In fact, fear of failure can lead to anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts which lead children towards destruction. By providing emotional support and advice to the youth we can tackle the problem. Teachers can play an important role by advising what is right and what is wrong and by creating a supportive environment.
