Price hike

KARACHI:

It’s no more a secret that the soaring inflation in the country, which has surged to a record high, has eroded the purchasing power of the masses and squeezed household budgets. The inflationary pressures are driven by a combination of factors, including an increase in money supply, government borrowing, a widening trade deficit due to low exports and high imports, and political instability. All this has left a majority of the people struggling to make ends meet.

The government has adopted various measures to combat inflation, including adjusting monetary and fiscal policies, but the challenges persist, and the economy remains vulnerable to external shocks which are destroying the country. The government is not even able to provide the basic amenities of life to the poor masses, who have but resigned to their fate.
