Larkana district of Sindh province is a political stronghold of the ruling PPP. Unfortunately, some areas of this district are still devoid of the gas facility. One such ill-fated area of the district is village Tarai which lies in Talluka Baqrani, Union Council Mehrabpur. Tarai is located just two kilometres from Garello where gas facility is available. The residents of this village have long been asking the relevant authorities to provide them gas connection, but to no avail. The villagers have no other option but to rely on LPG which is very expensive. Dry wood is also used by some of the villagers but it is not readily available. We request the government high-ups to take steps to provide gas connection to our village on a priority basis because being the citizens of Pakistan it is our right.
