Driving licence
KARACHI:
I am a doctor at Services Hospital, Lahore. Sometimes, being a responsible citizen is an agony in itself. My driving licence was going to expire on 27th March, 2024. I applied for its renewal on 19th January, 2024 to avoid any violation of law. But despite paying hefty fees worth Rs10,000, my driving licence has not been issued till date. This speaks of the inefficiency of the Traffic Police Department. While there is need for the department to put its house in order, the licence fee should also be reverted to the previous level in the public interest.
