Growing joblessness

Growing joblessness

KARACHI:

Unemployment rate in Pakistan is alarmingly high, leaving countless individuals without viable means of livelihood. This pervasive lack of employment opportunities has resulted in widespread despair and hopelessness, driving some individuals to resort to extreme measures such as suicide.

Furthermore, poverty has reached critical levels in Pakistan, with many families unable to afford necessities such as food, shelter and healthcare. The inability to meet these fundamental needs exacerbates the cycle of poverty, trapping individuals and communities in a vicious cycle of deprivation and despair.

The government must prioritise the creation of employment opportunities through initiatives such as job training programmes, investment in infrastructure projects and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. By addressing the root causes of poverty and unemployment, we can uplift communities, promote economic growth and improve the overall well-being of our nation.
