KARACHI:
Healthcare is our basic need. Unfortunately, Panjgur has no healthcare facilities to support the residents. The hospitals are few and in extremely sorry state. On the other hand, the hospitals are poorly managed and lack professional doctors. In emergency cases, patients are attended by untrained and incompetent nurses instead of doctors.
For minor cases people are compelled to travel as far as Karachi and Quetta due to the lack of facilities, emergency aid and other general support. While Panjgur remains a city that has a large malnourished population with other multiple health complications, the provincial and local governments are absolutely indifferent and insensitive to the city’s healthcare system. Can the governments, concerned authorities and welfare organisations take the first step in steering the current status quo of the city?
