Medicine shortage

Medicine shortage

KARACHI:

Hoshab, a well-known and populous area, is currently facing a critical shortage of medicine stock available for consumers and business. This shortage poses a significant challenge to the well-being of the residents of Hoshab, many of whom cannot afford to travel to larger cities for alternatives.

In February 2024, a devastating outbreak of Tetanus claimed so many lives, affecting both children and the elderly. Unfortunately, the provincial government turned a deaf ear to it. This tragic situation underscores the urgent need to address the scarcity of medicine in Hoshab. Access to adequate medical supplies is vital for safeguarding the lives of thousands of people in the community. In regions like Hoshab where a majority of the population is already struggling to make ends meet and grab the basic necessities of life, absence of medication will worsen the situation and force the residents to take to streets in a state of violence and frustration.
