KARACHI:
In Pakistan, the shortage of textbooks persists as a significant challenge in the education system. This scarcity hampers students’ access to essential learning materials, hindering their academic progress. According to information obtained from the School Education and Literacy Department, there is a shortage of about 2 million textbooks for various subjects including English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Easy Urdu, Sindhi, Islamic Studies, Social Studies, Science and Computer Science. Addressing this issue requires urgent attention and concerted efforts from authorities to ensure that every student has access to the textbooks they need to succeed in their studies.
