Abduction of Priya Kumari

Abduction of Priya Kumari

KARACHI:

It has been two years since the quiet town of Sangrar was shaken by the abduction of Priya Kumari, a bright, young girl. The mystery surrounding her disappearance continues to haunt us. Her sudden disappearance sent shockwaves through Sangrar, leaving her family and friends grappling with fear and uncertainty.

In the wake of her disappearance, the community of Sangrar rallied together, organising search parties, distributing flyers and raising awareness through social media campaigns. However, as time passed without any sign of her, hope began to fade, and the once-vibrant town was left reeling from the loss of one of its own.

Despite the challenges and heartache, the community of Sangrar refuses to forget Priya Kumari. Her name is etched into the town, serving as a constant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of coming together in times of crisis.

As the investigation into Priya’s abduction continues, there is a glimmer of hope that one day she will be found. Until then, the people of Sangru remain vigilant, holding onto the belief that justice will prevail and Priya will come home.

The incident poses several questions on us as citizens, on the law enforcement agencies and the state. How many more Priyas will we lose when the state accepts the responsibility and ownership of every citizen? We need to rise above factional and ethnic differences and treat humans as the same instead of undermining the crimes committed to the members of marginalised communities.
