Power crisis in Makran

KARACHI:

The indispensable need for electricity in Makran has escalated into a worsening crisis due to the government’s failure to provide definite and affordable power. Inequalities are glaring, as certain individuals enjoy access to amenities such as solar panels, while numerous impoverished families continue to be deprived due to the high costs of such resources.

Even hospitals in Makran are grappling with electricity shortages exacerbating the challenges of providing essential healthcare. The absence of generators, solar panels and other electric machines compounds the issues faced by these vital institutions.

To address this critical situation, authorities must extend support to the less privileged by providing loans and funds for the installation of solar panels. This initiative could empower them to generate their electricity providing a sustainable solution to their energy needs. Additionally, the government should focus on establishing solar farms and enhancing the overall electricity infrastructure in Makran ensuring a more inclusive and robust power supply for the region.
