Delay in results

KARACHI:

Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) advertised the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2020 in 2019 but has yet to announce the exam results. Sindh High Court (SHC) temporarily terminated SPSC because of its corrupt practices in the recruitment process. Once the SPSC had resumed operations, it was revealed that the CCE 2020 exam results had been manipulated by former SPSC officials.

Given that the matter was already under court supervision, SHC directed SPSC to conduct fresh examinations for CCE 2020. It has been six months since the exam was conducted, but the result has still not been released. Candidates are hopeful for fair and meritorious results. However, the prolonged delay has raised suspicion among the hearts and minds of candidates and the masses who judiciously keep an eye on SPSC activities. SPSC must establish trust and dignity while maintaining a merit-based recruitment system.
