KARACHI:
Balochistan, the largest province of Pakistan, is facing an education crisis. The province needs a proper educational infrastructure as well as good management. Even though education is a fundamental right, thousands of children in Balochistan are deprived of it. Approximately, 800,000 school-age students are out of school. 1,964 schools lack basic infrastructure and 3,500 schools are closed because of a shortage of teachers.
Several schools are in danger of being left without teachers. In numerous areas, primary schools are nonexistent. It is unfortunate to see children encountering difficulties in accessing education even in this modern era. The youth represent the future of this country and it’s disheartening to witness our future in such a state. The government should establish new educational institutions and ensure the provision of essential facilities such as water, washrooms and electricity. Urgent and decisive measures must be implemented to address and prevent this crisis.
