KARACHI:
Keelkore, one of the largest areas in the Panjgur district, encounters numerous challenges in providing quality education. Factors such as inadequate infrastructure, a scarcity of educational institutions, financial constraints, cultural barriers and a lack of qualified teachers are among the issues contributing to the substandard education standards in Keelkore.
For families grappling with financial constraints, expenses such as school fees, uniforms and textbooks pose obstacles impacting access to education and exacerbating issues of poverty and socio-economic disparities. The ramifications of poor education are extensive, perpetuating cycles of poverty, impeding economic development, constraining opportunities for personal growth and empowerment and reinforcing social inequalities. Education plays a crucial role in granting individuals access to information and resources essential for making informed decisions regarding their health, rights and future prospects.
The government and other stakeholders must undertake collaborative efforts to address Keelkore’s educational dilemma. A key strategy involves boosting investment in education infrastructure, offering scholarships or financial aid to marginalised students, enhancing teacher training programmes and educating families on the significance of education.
