KARACHI:
In Pakistan, numerous women experience different forms of abuse. Women rightfully deserve respect, equal opportunities and a voice. Despite being the backbone of society, they endure diverse forms of mistreatment, ranging from domestic violence to forced child marriages.
From January to April 2023, a staggering 10,365 cases of brutality against women were reported, encompassing not only physical abuse but also incidents of rape, kidnapping and verbal violence.
While it’s heartening to witness more women breaking barriers, substantial work needs to be done. Let’s actively support and uplift each other collaboratively striving for a society where women can thrive without fear.
