KARACHI:
In unity with my fellow peers, I earnestly request an extension of the winter vacation due to the prevailing cold and dense fog conditions in our region. The recent weather challenges have significantly impacted students commuting to educational institutions. The combination of extreme cold and dense fog not only poses hazards for travel but also affects the overall well-being of students.
Challenges such as extended travel times, health concerns and difficulties in accessing educational facilities have emerged hindering our ability to fully engage in academic activities. Extending the winter vacation would afford students the necessary time to navigate these challenging weather conditions ensuring a safer and more conducive learning environment upon our return. Additionally, it would help alleviate the stress and anxiety associated with the current weather challenges enabling students to focus better on their studies.
The sincere intention of prioritising the well-being and safety of students across the region would be highly appreciated by all including civil society. The government’s consideration of this appeal would be greatly valued undoubtedly contributing to the overall welfare and academic success of the student community.
