KARACHI:
The current emphasis on academic achievement is overshadowing the importance of physical activities for our children. While academic success is crucial, we must not ignore the well-documented benefits of regular exercise on both physical and mental well-being.
Physical activities contribute not only to physical fitness but also foster important life skills such as teamwork and resilience. I urge educators, parents and policymakers to reevaluate our educational priorities ensuring a balance between academic excellence and the promotion of an active lifestyle. Let’s prioritise the holistic development of our children by incorporating more physical activities into the curriculum and providing opportunities for sports and recreation.
