The chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto, has carried on the legacy of his ancestors by promoting democracy and social justice. The PPP launched its election campaign in Tharparkar in November. Addressing thousands of party workers and supporters, Bilawal Bhutto pledged to continue the ongoing development of the region upon his election.
Bilawal Bhutto is younger than his political opponents symbolising the broader demographic of youth in the population. He served as the foreign minister under former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government and effectively represented Pakistan at many global forums and platforms. Bilawal has clearly emerged as an eloquent and modern leader capable of steering the country towards growth and progress. In recent days, he has garnered significant support from the Pakistani youth.
Historically, PPP has remained committed to protecting minorities in Sindh and enjoys a relatively positive track record in terms of representation of different groups. Under Bilawal’s leadership, PPP stands a strong chance of success in the upcoming elections. We hope that, if he becomes the next prime minister, Bilawal Bhutto will remain committed to social justice and protecting the rights of all.
