Economic reforms

KARACHI:

Growing issues facing our country, especially the skyrocketing rates of inflation and the startling lack of work opportunities, are pushing Pakistani youth to look overseas for better opportunities. Many Pakistanis are experiencing uncertainty and hardship due to the current economic climate, marked by rising inflation and a lack of job opportunities, particularly the younger generation.

Families are burdened unreasonably by the rising costs of necessities and declining wages making it increasingly challenging for them to make ends meet. The youth now experience a great deal of frustration and hopelessness due to this dire economic situation. Despite having many competent and qualified individuals in the country, bright young minds have few opportunities to establish a promising future here due to a lack of job opportunities. It is disheartening to witness a rising trend of youth migration in light of these difficulties. Many of our most talented professionals and sharpest minds are choosing to leave the nation in search of better prospects and living conditions.

This causes the country to lose its most valuable resource—its youth—and feeds a vicious cycle of economic decline and brain drain. Our leaders and legislators must act decisively to address these urgent problems. To revive our economy, we must invest in job creation initiatives, implement comprehensive economic reforms and create an atmosphere that encourages entrepreneurship. Prioritising actions to control inflation and guarantee fair resource distribution are also necessary.
