KARACHI:
Jhang University, once a bastion of education and enlightenment, finds itself ensnared in a web of issues that threatens the very essence of academic pursuit. Our dedicated teachers have been denied their rightful pay for the past three months. This financial turmoil not only jeopardises their wellbeing but also raises questions about the administration’s commitment to the welfare of those entrusted with shaping our academic journey.
Numerous academic endeavours face cancellation. This not only undermines our efforts but also erodes the trust we place in the system to uphold the sanctity of our academic pursuits. Education thrives in an environment conducive to learning, but our university is currently grappling with literal darkness. The electricity connection has been abruptly severed plunging classrooms and study spaces into a state of perpetual gloom. This not only hampers our ability to engage with course materials but also poses a threat to our safety and well-being. The hallowed halls of our university, once echoing with the vibrant exchanges of knowledge, now stand silent. The strike has halted all academic activities on campus leaving students in limbo. The absence of constructive dialogue between the administration and protesting factions is exacerbating the situation.
The absence of a Vice-Chancellor has further compounded challenges. Stable and visionary leadership is paramount in navigating these troubled waters and steering the university back towards its intended course. All stakeholders including students, faculty and administration must come together, transcend differences and work towards a sustainable resolution. Our academic institution is not just a collection of buildings; it is a crucible of knowledge and growth that demands our collective commitment to restore its former glory.
