TURBAT:
Water is life. That it is the most essential necessity for all living things goes without saying. While people in many parts of Balochistan are suffering from a severe lack of this basic need for human beings, the situation is far worse in Gwadar, which is the seat of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) being billed as a game-changer and a fate-changer in the overall national context. Let alone clean drinking water, the citizens of Gwadar are even suffering for want of water for washing and bathing. The water that is supplied to the city is mostly brackish which is causing diseases. Not too many people can afford to pay for water tankers and are forced to consume dirty water. I request the federal and provincial governments to take an urgent action in this regard.
