Water shortage

Water shortage

KARACHI, PAKISTAN:

Many parts of Balochistan have been suffering from an acute shortage of clean drinking water as most of the water filtration plants installed at various places in the province have gone out of order. According to reports, only 25 per cent of the population in Balochistan has access to clean drinking water. While an extremely small number of people can afford bottled water, much of the population in the province has had to do with unclean water. It goes without saying that people have been facing myriad difficulties due to the lack of potable water. The provincial government must focus on this important issue and take steps to address it on a war footing.
