Street crime
KARACHI:
Recently, many cases of theft and robbery have been reported in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 18. As much of the locality is devoid of proper street lights, it’s pretty easy for robbers to deprive passersby and motorists at gunpoint. A lot of people are known to have been relieved of cash and valuables like jewellery, motorbikes and cars. Incidents of harassment of young girls have also been reported. I request the authorities to take an urgent notice of this alarming situation and ensure a sense of peace and relief among the residents.
