Biased reporting

KARACHI:

The partiality displayed by Western media in favour of Israel is troubling, with biased announcements that seem disconnected from the harsh realities on the ground. The emotional toll of this situation is heightened by the daily loss of innocent Palestinian lives, a fact that major media outlets fail to adequately address or denounce.

Disturbingly, since October 7th, there have been numerous instances of Muslim journalists losing their jobs due to their pro-Palestine stance. Furthermore, it appears that Western governments are actively working against those who express pro-Palestine sentiments, adding to the perception of media bias. This bias is particularly alarming when it comes to the coverage of Israel’s actions, which many argue constitute racial killings. It is disheartening to witness major media organisations taking sides and compromising their true positions.

It is crucial for advocates of human rights to be aware that the way Western media justifies Israel’s actions raises serious questions about its role, bordering on what some may consider a form of complicity in the war itself.
