KARACHI:
The recent Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) examination for trained graduate teachers felt more like a staged performance and a mockery of a serious process. The answer keys provided turned out to be incorrect and to add to the absurdity; the answer keys of batches 1 and 2 were mixed up.
Despite trying to communicate our concerns via email to FPSC, our inquiries were met with silence. The poor arrangements, standards and conduct have left us speechless. The FPSC’s approach of conducting exams a year after announcing them, followed by a year of interviews and then an additional year for recruitment had already frustrated many. The sluggish process, coupled with these seemingly orchestrated blunders, is causing the youth to lose faith in the system. One cannot help but wonder whether these tests are aimed at measuring our skills or testing our patience.
