KARACHI:
Earlier, the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) announced plans to conduct a Central Superior Service (CSS) special exam to fill vacancies that could not be filled with previous CSS exams. However, many aspirants from Sindh will be unable to undertake the test due to several constraints. The dearth of well-equipped academies and qualified teachers affects the aspirants’ preparation as they struggle to find adequate guidance and mentorship.
Approximately 10,000 aspirants from Sanghar, Mithi and Umer Kot were not aware of the exam until recently because of which they have not been able to prepare for the exam. I voluntarily teach underprivileged aspirants from these areas to support them and bridge the gap caused by the lack of educational resources. The recent monsoon rains have had a devastating impact on Sanghar, Mithi, Umer Kot and several districts of Balochistan displacing nearly 1.3 million people from their homes. This unfortunate situation has severely disrupted the lives of aspirants affecting their studies.
Given these circumstances, I humbly request the FPSC to consider extending the exam date so that aspirants from underprivileged areas of Sindh and Balochistan can also undertake the exam. The extension would enable them to adequately prepare and compete on a level playing field with their counterparts from other regions. By granting this extension, the FPSC would not only promote fairness and equality but also provide a ray of hope for aspiring civil servants from marginalised areas. It would showcase the government’s commitment to ensuring that no deserving candidate is left behind due to circumstances beyond their control.
