KARACHI:

The improper disposal of offal during Eid-ul-Adha in Karachi is causing severe health risks and creating an unpleasant environment. This cherished religious festival involves a sacrifice for God, but the aftermath leaves our streets in a filthy state.

Eid-ul-Adha is a significant religious festival celebrated by Muslims around the world. It involves the sacrifice of animals, and the meat is distributed among family, friends, and the less fortunate. While this is a beautiful tradition that promotes sharing and compassion, the aftermath of the sacrificial ritual often leaves our streets in an appalling condition. It is disheartening to witness the disregard for cleanliness and public health during this period. Many individuals, instead of properly disposing of the offal, choose to throw them haphazardly on the streets, sidewalks, and even in drainage systems. This not only creates an unpleasant stench but also attracts stray animals, pests, and flies, thus exacerbating the risk of diseases and contamination.

Karachi has made significant progress over the past few years, but addressing offal disposal is crucial. Let us work together to make Karachi cleaner, healthier, and more livable for all.
