Maintenance on Eid-ul-Adha

KARACHI:

As we observe, Eid-ul-Adha, we must remember that good health and clean surroundings are crucial to making this holy occasion more enjoyable. Everyone should ensure that the waste left from qurbani is disposed of properly or given to someone who will take care of it appropriately.

When the meat has been sent in and everything else taken care of, keep a steady flow of water handy, preferably a hose pipe, with which all the blood and remaining waste can be cleaned right away. After washing, sprinkle antiseptic liquid or any other cleaning agent that has antiseptic properties to eliminate any residual elements on which deadly germs can grow and contamination can occur. As soon as the meat is brought in, clean it thoroughly at once as germs and bacteria thrive on unclean and exposed meat.

After washing, store them in the refrigerator to prevent any additional bacterial growth in the humid weather. Thoroughly clean and disinfect all the areas and utensils that were used with hot water and antiseptics. Make sure that drains are properly cleaned, and the lids of waste baskets are properly shut.
