KARACHI:
Education is the cornerstone of development for any nation. India established prestigious institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology, which significantly contributed to its economic growth and promoted India on a global stage. These institutions have produced Chief Executive Officers of renowned companies worldwide showcasing the immense value of investing in education.
The Sindh government’s failure to promote education and vocational training in Naukot is rather perplexing. In upper Sindh, there are at least four medical colleges and two engineering institutes along with four general universities. Despite being home to several districts, Mirpurkhas is deprived of such educational institutions, which is a matter of great concern. Education plays a vital role in fostering awareness, professional development, and the cultivation of a civilised society. In comparison to developed countries, we are significantly lagging and have failed to establish adequate educational institutions to bridge this gap.
Therefore, I humbly request the higher authorities of the Sindh government to consider establishing educational institutes and vocational training centres in remote areas of Sindh. This will help uplift the deprived population and provide them with the opportunities they rightfully deserve. By prioritising education in remote regions, we can bridge the gap and contribute to the overall development and prosperity of the entire province.
