KARACHI:
The residents of PAEC Colony located on GT Road, Rawat, Islamabad, are faced with persistent water shortage. Some double-storey houses are occupied by two families, so the meagre amount of tap water is simply insufficient to fulfil the basic water requirements of these households. This scarcity of water has disrupted our daily lives and has created several hardships for the residents. We are compelled to spend substantial amounts of time and effort in managing water resources for our daily needs.
The burden falls disproportionately on the shoulders of the residents, who are forced to explore alternative sources or depend on costly water tankers to fulfil their needs. This also poses a threat to the health and hygiene of the residents. It makes it difficult to maintain cleanliness and sanitation, which can lead to various health concerns and the spread of diseases.
We request the Deputy Commissioner, and concerned authorities, including the Islamabad Water and Sanitation Authority (IWSA) to address this pressing issue promptly. We urge them to take immediate measures to ensure an adequate and reliable water supply to the PAEC Colony. This can be achieved by increasing the quantity of tap water available to our community, especially for households with multiple families.
