KARACHI:
Nowadays, people do not listen to their bodies and instead consume food based on electronic and social media advertisements. The big hoardings have a strong stranglehold on our current generation. The biggest dilemma is people eat preserved foods, which affect the respiratory system, thought process, and sense of smell. Poor consumption habits cause different health conditions including heart attack, diabetes, skin disorder, etc.
If you take considerable water in one go, all of this won’t go into the system; the body will decide how much to take and how much to be shunted out. One solution is to eat high-water content foods such as fruits and vegetables. Coffee and tea are strong nervous stimulants and those who consume these drinks regularly may experience dullness. Energy is released in haphazard ways, which will disturb the basic fabric of the way the energy is stored in the system. Research has shown that three or four cups of coffee can lead to heart attacks.
The digestive process is largely between acids and alkalines, so putting two or more things that work opposite to each other diminishes digestive fire, which leads to several diseases. For example, eating meat by itself may not cause a lot of damage but the moment you mix it with ghee or rice it creates a battle within the immune system. Similarly, people should avoid drinking water immediately, during, or after the meal. Our sedentary lifestyle has put us in a predicament. People should change consumption habits by eating the right foods at the right time as well as participating in physical activities.
